September 10 Back to school dayToday is the first day of school for Toby. Toby is in the 1st grade now. Here's Toby getting off the school bus.
오늘 토비학교가 개학 했네요. 이제 1학년이 된 토비가 스쿨버스에서 내리는 모습 이랍니다.

 January 02 Let it snow~~We had so much snow recently. We got about 12 inches and it stayed for about 2 weeks. It was a lot of snow for this area.
얼마전 눈이 왔는데 이지역에서는 드물게 많이 왔네여. 거의 30cm 가량이 왔고 2주동안 녹지도 않았네여.
 We all had fun. As soon as Toby and Etan woke up every morning they asked us to go sledding on a hill that's around our neighborhood. We just couldn't help but make a snowman. It was just a lot of snow hehe.
눈이 많이 와서 진짜 재미났어요. 매일 아침 일어나면 토비하고 이튼이 동네에 눈썰매 타러 가자고 하고 눈이 많이 와서 눈사람을 안 만들수가 없었네여.
It was a street around our house. We felt like we were driving around some mountain or something. It is all melted now though. We are getting typical Washington weather now....rain, rain, rain...
집 근처 길인데 꼭 어느 산 길을 운전하는것 같았다는..... 지금은 다 녹고 비오는 전형적인 워싱턴주 날씨로 돌아왔네여.
November 05 Autumn sceneryI just wanted to post some pictures of us because I haven't update our blog in a long time. 블로그에 글 올린지도 오래 되고 요즘 가을 풍경이 넘 이뻐서 사진 좀 올립니다.
There are so many big maple trees in that street and the changing colors were so pretty. 우리집 근처 이 길에는 단풍나무가 참 많답니다. 넘 이뻐서 사진 몇 장 찍었네여.
Toby and Etan had fun with tons of leaves. They laid down and made leaf angels and they threw the leaves at each other and they walked around to make crunching noise. 토비하고 이튼하고 누워서 스노우 엔젤이 아닌 나뭇잎 엔젤도(ㅋㅋ) 만들고 서로 나뭇잎도 던지고 바삭바삭 나뭇잎 밟는 소리가 재미있었는지 왔다 갔다 걸어다니기도 하며 재미있는 시간을 보냈답니다.

Toby was Optimus Prime from Transformer and Etan was a pumkin. We got Diego costume for Etan but it was too cold for the weather so we got him a pumkin AGAIN!! Two of my frineds's daughters were hershey kisseses. They were so cute. one was regular and one was almond. 토비는 트랜스포머에(로봇나오는 영화) 나오는 옵티머스였고 이튼은 디에고라고 이튼이 좋아하는 만화 주인공 복장을 해줄라고 했는데 날씨가 넘 추워서 걍 따땃한 호박으로 했네여. 친구들 딸둘은 키세스 초코렛을 했네여. 한 명은 은박에 싸인 키세스 다른 한명은 아몬드맛 키세스를 했는데 넘 귀여웠답니다.

February 18 Spring is coming^^Hi everyone, I haven't updated this blog for a long time. And a lot of people asked me what is going on with us but nothing is going on with us. We are all doing good.
I have been sick for a few days. It was pretty bad flu. I went out side of the house today and I saw something colorful outside in our yard. It was some flowers. I was so happy to see those cute flowers are blooming. I feel like spring is here. Do you want to feel spring?
그동안 모두들 잘 지냈져?
한동안 블로그 업데이트를 안했더만 많은 사람들이 무슨일 있냐고 물어보드라구요. 우리 가족은 그 전과 같이 잘 지내고 있답니다.
며칠전에 독감으로 누웠다가 오늘 애덜하고 밖에 나갔더니 앞마당에 알록달록 꽃이 피었드라구요. 봄이 왔구나 싶은 마음에 넘 기뻐서 이렇게 사진 올려요. 다들 봄기운 한번 느껴보세여~~ ^^
January 15 We are brothers~~Toby and Etan got the same PJ for Christmas. I love them wearing that together.

My cutie chubby Etan!! 토실토실한 우리 귀염둥이 이튼. December 26 Our ChristmasWe had a small and quiet Christmas with just the four of us. We decorated for the first time this year and we made some Christmas cookies too. We got a Christmas tree and put lights up on the roof and deer in the yard. We tried to make good cookies but it didn't really turn out good but at least we had fun.
이번 크리스마스는 우리 가족끼리 조용하게 보냈답니다. 집 밖에 장식도 좀 하고 크리스마스 쿠키도 만들고(모양이 넘 엉망이었음), 집안에 크리스마스 트리도 장식하고 나름대로 크리스마스 분위기를 내 보았답니다. 쿠키 정리좀 하고 사진 찍을걸 ㅋㅋㅋ 걍 장난 치면서 사진 찍어서 좋은 사진이 없음...
And Toby even left milk and cookies for Santa. 자기 전 토비가 산타 줄 쿠키하고 우유를 내놓았습니다.
We put Etan and Toby to sleep early so we could put the presents under the tree. I didn't want to put the presents out too early because I was afraid Toby would see them and want to open them. Actually Toby woke up around 4 A.M. and we told him if he was awake when santa came then he wouldn't get any presents so he went back to sleep.
밤에 선물 내놓으려고 토비하고 이튼을 일찍 재우고, 저녁에 내놓으면 토비가 새벽에 깨서 선물 보고 풀자고 할까봐 걱정했는데 한 새벽4시경 한번 일어나서 아직 아침 아니냐고 묻길래 잠 안자면 산타가 안온다고 그럼 선물도 없으니까 더 자라고 했더니 다시 잠이 들어서 아침에 일어났습니다.
Toby woke up on Christmas and opened his presents and his favorite thing is CARS CARS CARS so he got a lot of Cars stuff.
크리스마스날 아침에 일어 나서 토비가 요즘 잴로 좋아 하는 cars 선물들을 풀렀답니다. Cars 내복, 슬리퍼, 트랙, 자동차들, 팬티 등등등. 대부분이 cars였답니다.
Toby really enjoyed Christmas this year. It was first time he was old enough to really get into Christmas. He was so excited for santa to visit our house. Christmas will be more fun next year because Etan should be old enough to get into it also.
이번해엔 토비가 크리스마스가 뭔줄 알고 산타가 우리집에 선물도 주러 우고 하는걸 알아서 넘 재미있게 보냈어요. 내년에는 이튼도 조금 알게 될테니 더 신나는 크리스마스가 될것같아요.
November 13 Etan's 1st birthday pictures ^^We got some of Etan's 1st birthday The candle say "1 today". 잘 안보이는데 "오늘 한살"이라고 초가 정렬되어 있어요. Etan didn't like the clothes and he hates wearing something on his head so it was difficult to get a moment to take a picture. 이튼이 한복 입는거 넘 싫어하고 머리에 쓰는걸 무쟈게 싫어해서 왕건모 쓰고 옷매무새를 예쁘게 다듬어 줄 시간도 없이 겨우 사진찍는 순간을 포착했답니다.
Toby didn't want to take a picture. There were a lot of kids out in the back yard so he wanted to play with the kids. But after this picture people asked Toby to smile and he gave us a big smile like nothing happened so everybody laughed. 토비는 뒷마당에서 노는 친구들하고 놀고 싶어 사진찍기 싫다며 울고 있네요. 그래도 사람들이 카메라 보고 웃으라고 하니까 금방 언제 그런일이 있었냐는둥 방긋 웃어서 사진을 찍었습니다.
Etan picked a pencil just like his brother Toby. So now we are expecting smarty boys~~ November 02 Trick or treating with our boysThis Halloween was a little chilly. So we bunddled up Toby and Etan and started "Trick or treating". Toby was Spider man and Etan was a pumpkin(Toby used this one last year). 이번 할로윈엔 너무 추워서 토비하고 이튼하고 단단히 입히고 나가서 "trick or treat"을 했다. 토비는 스파이더맨이고 이튼은 토비가 작년에 입었던 호박으로 변장했다.
Toby didn't want to wear this mask but as soon as he saw other kids coming to our house for trick or treating then he said "I want to go out" and he wore this mask. Etan didn't want to wear this thick pumpkin costume but he liked it when we went outside. It was COLD!! 토비는 스파이더맨 가면 쓰기 싫어하다가 변장한 아이들이 하나 둘씩 우리집에 오니까 가면쓰고 빨리나가자고 한다. 이튼도 따뜻한 집안에서는 도톰한 호박 입기 싫다고 하더니 나가니 추웠던지 가만히 있었다.
We went to our friend's house first. Etan loves my friend and she loves him too. She is 7months pregnant right now. When she delivers her baby Etan will be sad.
 Don't grab a candy Toby!! 먼저 친한 친구 집 부터 들렀다. 이튼이 젤로 좋아하는 친구. 지금 임신 7개월인데 아기 나면 이튼이 넘 슬퍼 할것 같다. 토비 사탕 잡으면 안돼!!Some scary decorated houses. Toby was a little scared to go to them. He held daddy's hand really tight when we went up to the door. 몇몇 무섭게 꾸며놓은 집들이 있는데 토비가 그런집에 사탕받으러 가면 무서워서 아빠 손을 꼭 잡고 갔다는.... Look at muscular Toby spider man and a Sleeping pumpkin. He fell asleep about 10 min after we started walking around.
Toby had a lot of fun. He kept saying "we go to another house and another house... "
Toby and Etan will both have fun next year. 토비 근육 좀 보자!! 이튼은 돌아다닌지 10분후쯤 잠이 들었다. 토비는 넘 재미있어하면서 한 집가면 다른집 가고 그담에 또 다른집가고 또 가자고 그랬다. 내년에는 토비하고 이튼하고 넘 재미 있어 할거 같다.
August 08 Night out at Ft.CampbellThey changed the site some. We are trying to figure out how to use it now with the new changes. We got some pictures on, but they are small. If you click on them they will get bigger, but hopefully soon we will figure out how to put bigger pictures on here from the start.
Finally, I fixed the pictures too^^.
Brandon brought the boys hats from Iraq and it has their name on it. It's cool. Toby loves it because daddy made this one for him.
They had some live music and Toby was dancing with music.
July 11 Our daddy is back for his vacation.My computer has been broken and it's been in the service center. I'm happy that I finally got this computer back. 컴퓨터가 한동안 고장나서 서비스 센터에 보냈다가 드뎌 와서 넘 기쁘다~~
BTW, Brandon is home for his vacation. Toby is so happy and he copies everything his daddy does. They just stick together all the time even when they go to the bathroom ^^. 브랜든이 2주간의 휴가를 나왔다. 토비는 아빠가 하는거 다 따라한다. 심지어 화장실 갈때도 따라간다. The other day Toby told Brandon that he had a dream and Brandon went back to Iraq and he was mad and then he gave Brandon a hug. Toby will really get mad when Brandon has to leave again. Now he is asking to Brandon "Why do you have to go back to Iraq?". He just asked him out of the blue. I feel like he's read this blog^^. 토비가 한날은 브랜든한테 꿈을 꿨는데 아빠가 이라크에 가서 화났다고 그러면서 브랜든을 안아줬다고 한다. 브랜든이 다시 돌아갈때 토비가 무지 울거 같다... 갑자기 토비가 브랜든에게 "왜 이라크 다시가야해요"하고 물어보네... 꼭 이걸 읽은것처럼.... It's been a long time(about 7months) since he saw daddy when he was a month old. He was fine at first and explored daddy's face and then he wanted mommy. 이튼 한달때 보고 7개월만에 첨 보는 아빠 얼굴. 처음에는 브랜든 얼굴도 만져보고 괜찮더니 끝내 엄마를 찾는 이튼... And then we picked Toby up at preschool. Toby was shocked when he saw daddy walk in with me. Toby couldn't look at daddy but now..... He goes crazy with daddy. 이튼을 집에서 만나고 토비를 데리러 유아원에 갔다. 브랜든하고 같이 들어가니 토비가 넘 놀랬다. 첨에는 브랜든 얼굴도 못쳐다 보더니 지금은 넘 좋아한다. We bought him a bicycle and he just rode on the bicycle so well from the start. He's having a good time with his daddy. 그동안 자전거를 사고 싶어했는데 자전거를 사줬더니 첨부터 넘 잘탄다. Brandon is cutting Toby's hair. He got short hair again. 브랜든이 또다시 토비머리를 밀었다. June 09 Happy Birthday, Toby~~Yesterday was Toby's birthday. We are going to have his birthday party with his friends when Brandon comes home for his vacation. So we had a small birthday. Toby enjoyed blowing his little birthday cake candles.
어제 토비 생일이였는데 브랜든 휴가 오면 친구들 불러서 생일 파티 해주기로 해서 어제는 걍 집에서 선물만 개봉했다. 내가 작은 케익을 만들었는데 토비가 생일 촛불 끄는걸 넘 좋아라 했다.

It was 90 degree the day before yesterday and usually it's about 88 degree. The water was so cold at first so Toby didn't want to go in the pool but he really enjoyed it later.

요즘 날씨가 부쩍 더워져서 작년에 토비가 쓰던 물놀이 용품을 꺼냈다. 한낮에 날씨가 31-32도를 웃돌고 있다. 너무 습해서 체감온도는 40도는 되는거 같다. 첨에 물이 엄청 차가웠는데 몇시간 지난뒤 미직찌근해 져서 토비가 즐겁게 놀았다.

Etan is chilling and trying to drink some coke. At least he is trying. "Etan, I think you got it upside down" 이튼도 한쪽에서 휴식을 취하면서 콜라를 마시려고 하고 있다. 마실수 있을지 몰라도.
Etan's getting two bottom teeth. I think some more teeth are coming. He drools a lot and wants to chew something. He is my cutie pie~~

오늘 울 시어머니 생신이다. 브랜든 6월에 휴가 나올때 여기 오신다고 하신다.

April 16 Happy Easter~~^^Toby attended an easter egg hunt. The weather was good. It was pretty warm but there’s no sunshine. Nowadays it is about 87 degree or something during daytime. While we were waiting, Toby was so eager to hunt eggs. Toby went inside of a line which we had to be outside of it a couple of times when I did something for a sec. So people around us laughed and some little kids couldn’t wait either. They hunted eggs by age group and Toby went in 1-3 year old group and Etan went in 1year old and younger group. I took Etan inside and we hunted together. 토비가 부활절 egg hunt(부활절에 어린이들이 여기 저기 숨겨진 계란을 찾는 게임)를 했다. 요즘 날씨가 30도가 넘느데 어제는 좀 덥긴했지만 햇빛이 없어서 넘 좋았다. 기다리는 동안 잠시(몇초였음) 한 눈 파는 사이 토비가 못 참겠던지 기다려야 하는 선을 넘어 몇 번 들어가고 말았다. 주위사람들도 웃고 몇 아이들도 따라 들어갔다. 나이별로 게임을 해서 토비는 1-3살 그룹에 이튼은 1살아래 그룹에 들어갔다. 이튼을 안고 같이 몇 개를 주웠다. 미국 나이로 토비는 아직 2살. They are about to go! Are you guys ready? 시작 준비중.
Toby was pretty good at hunting the eggs. He ran to an area to pick up some eggs and then went to another area and another.... He didn't look for me(other kids ran inside the line and lots of kids got lost "I ran but I don't know what to do now" so their parents went inside led their kids). He just so busy hunting the eggs. He got the eggs full of his basket.
토비가 여기 저기 다니면서 한 바구니를 만들었다. 날 찾지도 않고 계란을 찾는데 넘 열심히 였다. 다른 아이들은 막 뛰어들어가서는 어떻게 할지 몰라서 그대로 서있거나 그랬다. 아직 어려서 부모들이 들어와서 같이 했다.

Etan with the Easter bunny. Hi cutie! 부활절 토끼랑 같이. "I hunted some eggs and hippo with mommy" "엄마랑 같이 계란도 줍고 하마 인형도 주웠어요"
They had an Easter egg hunt right outside of the headquarters building. 부활절 egg hunt는 부대 사령부 건물 근처에서 했다.
HAVE A HAPPY EASTER~~ April 04 Little guys’ parade for our troopsToby joined in the little guys’ parade which was for supporting our troops at the CDC where Toby goes. It started at 9:30 in the morning. The weather was really nice before the parade but then it started to get windy and cloudy right before we started. They paraded around the CDC parking lot. The little kids were so cute. They were from babies to about 4-5 year old kids. 토비가 가는 놀이방에서 군인가족을 위한 퍼레이드를 했다. 오전 9시30분에 시작했는데 날씨가 좋았는데 시작하기 바로 전부터 바람이 불고 흐려지더니 약간 추워졌다. 놀이방 주차장을 돌면서 했다. 앉을수 있는 애기들 부터 4-5살 아이들 까지 했는데 넘 귀여웠다. This was the T-shirt they wore. it says "Month of the military child". 퍼레이드 할때 입었던 티셔츠. 티셔츠에는 군인가족 어린이의 달이라고 적혀있다. They finished the parade and took a picture together by each daycare group. They all go to the same room Toby goes. 퍼레이드가 끝났을때 놀이방 별로 사진을 찍었다. 토비가 가는곳 보통 3-5살(미국나이이니까 한국나이로는 4-6살정도 되는) 아이들이다.
Etan was in the parade too. "I want to hold the flag but it's too cold to get my hand out." 이튼도 한장 찰칵. "국기를 잡고 싶은데 넘 추워요" It's Toby's craft from last Thursday. Toby likes to open and close the caps of the markers, so he colored every color even though it's just a dot. 지난 목요일날 토비가 만든 작품. 싸인펜 뚜껑 열고 닫는게 재미있었는지 거의 모든색깔을 이용해서 색칠하고 그냥 점이라도 찍은 뒤 뚜껑을 닫았다. Loaded with key vitamins, kimchi contains healthy bacteria that aids digestion. Koreans eat so much of this super-spicy condiment (40 pounds of it per person each year) that natives say “kimchi” instead of “cheese” when getting their pictures taken. The reddish fermented cabbage (and sometimes radish) dish—made with a mix of garlic, salt, vinegar, chile peppers, and other spices—is served at every meal, either alone or mixed with rice or noodles. And it’s part of a high-fiber, low-fat diet that has kept obesity at bay in Korea. Kimchi also is used in everything from soups to pancakes, and as a topping on pizza and burgers. Why to try it: Kimchi (or kimchee) is loaded with vitamins A, B, and C, but its biggest benefit may be in its “healthy bacteria” called lactobacilli, found in fermented foods like kimchi and yogurt. This good bacteria helps with digestion, plus it seems to help stop and even prevent yeast infections, according to a recent study. And more good news: Some studies show fermented cabbage has compounds that may prevent the growth of cancer. What to do with it: There’s no need to make your own; just pick it up in the refrigerated section of your grocery store or an Asian market for around $4 per 32-ounce jar (Sunja’s is one popular brand). You can wake up your morning by scrambling eggs with kimchi, diced tomatoes, and mushrooms. Use it as a wrap filling or to top a baked potato. Or try Spicy Beef and Kimchi Stew, which won our test kitchen’s top rating.

Brandon, I'll prepare lots of Kimchi when you come back home^^. March 24 What a big boy!!!Etan had his 4month check up. It should be 4 months but the hospital was so full that I made the appointment 2 months ago and they gave me yesterday. When we walked into the hospital he started crying(maybe he remembered having some shots last time we went to the hospital haha^^) and he kept crying when I walked up to the front desk to sign in. They asked me why he was crying, and I said he doesn't like to be in the car seat. And I picked him up. They were so surprised when they saw him. One woman said "He sounded like a little baby"(they couldn't see when he was in the car seat). And they asked me how old Etan is and I said "He is 5 months old". They all said "He is a b~i~g boy". When Toby was his age, everybody said that too. Actually Toby is still tall. I take him to a hourly care sometimes and the room Toby goes takes up to 3 years old kids and Toby is one of the tallest boys. 어제 이튼 4개월 정기검진을 받기 위해 병원에 갔었다. 지금 이튼은 5개월 이고 2달전에 예약을 했는데 병원이 넘 바빠서 어제 드뎌 하게 됐다. 병원 들어갈때부터 울기시작해서(2개월때 주사맞았던걸 기억하는듯 ㅋㅋ^^) 안내 데스크에 갔을때도 울고있었다. 사람들이 왜이렇게 우냐고 해서 카시트에 앉아있는걸 싫어한다고 했다. 그리고 이튼을 꺼내는 순간 사람들이 히~이. 한 여자분이 카시트에서 우는소리는 아기같았는데 몇살이냐고 물었다. 그래서 5개월이라고 하니까 다들 크다고... 교회에서는 사람들이 다들 "장군님" 한다. 집에와서 토비 기록을 보니 토비하고 거의 다 똑같았다. 토비도 사람들이 항상 크다고 했는데. 요즘 시간당으로 하는 유아원에 가끔 보내는데 토비가 가는 방은 3살까지 받는다. 거기서도 토비가 큰 아이중에 속한다. Anyway, Etan's weight is 19.84 lbs and length is 27 1/4 inches and he had three shots yesterday. 어쨌던 이튼은 몸무게 9kg, 키는 69.22cm 고 주사도 3대나 맞았다. It's Toby's craft for this week. 이번주에 토비가 만든 작품. March 17 On St.Patrick's DayToday is St.Patrick's Day so Toby made a green hat. 오늘이 세인트 페트릭 데이여서 토비가 초록색으로 모자를 만들었다.

Nowadays when Toby makes funny face and he askes me to take a picture of him. Etan likes to take a picture too. Now Etan is pulling his leg and playing with his feet and puting it into his mouth. It seems like I need to start to feed him solid food. Whenever he sees us eating something, he smacks his lips. I'm going to start it from rice soup.  .요즘 토비가 사진찍는걸 무척 좋아한다. 웃긴표정 짓고는 사진찍으라고 사진기를 가져온다. 이튼도 사진찍는걸 좋아하는듯^^ 지금 이튼은 누워서 자기 다리를 당겨서 발가락빨기에 열심이다. 이튼 이유식을 시작해야 할것 같다. 요즘 우리가 뭐 먹으면 입맛을 다시며 우릴 쳐다보는 통에 먹는게 참 미안하다. 이번주 수요일에 이튼 예방접종하러 병원에 간다. 얼마나 컷는지 궁금한데...

. 토비때 많이 못찍어서 이번에는 많이 찍구 싶었는데.... 30-40명의 손님이 오셨구 생일파티는 만족스럽게 끝나서 맘이 한결 편해졌답니다.
이튼도 토비랑 똑같이 연필을 집었습니다. 아마 똑똑한 아들들이 되려나????
